Part Number C156003-0101 supercedes old part number 0311360-4 Cap Fuel and is priced at 24.27 by Cessna distributor "Premier". Call them at: (520) 889-6327 or email maty@premierfbo.com website http://www.iwantcessnaparts.com/

Tell them you learned about them from the Int'l Cessna 170 Assn.

15 gal fuel tanks?

Post by 4stripes »

Hi Ken
Is that 15 Imperial Gallons? My 52 has 18.5 US gal (usable) tanks...
Cheers form Burlington Ont.

The tank capacity nariances seem odd to me - my 1952 170B has 22 gal tanks - 37 useable.

The factory numbers are 21.5 gallons each side of which 18.5 gallons are usable - 42 gallons total, 37 gallons usable.

Doug, how do two 21.5 gallon tanks equal 42 gallons total?
Per the type certificate data sheet A-799: The tanks are 21 gals. Total 42 gals with 37 gals useable, (18.5 useable each.)
