It's been a while since I shopped for parts but I know that the sources for these parts are getting smaller and in some cases there is only one supplier. You can be pretty much at their mercey.
I usually check with Preffered Airparts to see it they have anything I need in stock. Usually their prices are pretty good. Beware that they stock new old stock as well as used so make sure you are talking about new parts when you talk with them.
Premium Aircraft Parts, LLC is one vendor I would never deal with. Here is one of two threads about them.

If you strike out at Prefered air parts, check with Air Power. I got quotes from about 6 different Continental parts dealers and Air Power easily beat them all, in some cases by thousands. As far as backorders it took me 2-3 months to get all my parts for my IO-360. Continental is not real speedy. If you don't want to wait you may just have to find someone with the parts in stock and pay top dollar. Good luck.

Not really. Every couple of months I get a call from a different person at the same collection agency threatening litigation. I have all the documenation that proves that the money they're after is money I paid to Premium, then got reimbursed for. I've gotten to the point where I just tell them to bring on the litigation, and that keeps them at bay for a few more months. I think it's as George says: Premium sold them the "debt", and they keep trying to recoup their "investment".

Yes, the through bolts are expensive, but it would not be wise to reuse an old one. I acquired mine from Aircraft Specialty Services in Tulsa where all of the internal engine parts were overhauled. The are next door to Divco(case overhauler) and can supply Continental or Superior parts. I shopped around and they had the best prices. This has been about 5 years ago. Enjoy the overhaul, it's a fun project.
