Wing flap cove cutouts around flap tracks

Post by dlords »

Would anyone be able to take a picture of there wing T/E with the flaps down. We are in the process of modifying a set of cessna birddog wings for our 170B project. We had to remove the birddog flap tracks and install 170-172 style, and I don't know how big to make the cut out in the flap cove skin to allow for the upper roller to pass through.
Thanks

Doug,
Here are a couple of pictures. Let me know if you need any dimensions not shown. The 1 3/8" is to the forward edge of the skin which is lapped under the bottom wing skin.
