door lock cylinder gone missing

Anyone know the best place to pick up a door lock cylinder. 1955 170, but I think they are probably all the same.

If your door lock is anything like mine you might try looking at the hardware found on most steel locking cabinets with similar barrel locks. Chances are you might find the perfect fit as they seem to be just common lock hardware. Of course the tumblers would have to be changed if you want it to match your mag switch key.

Of course hardware stores and locksmiths would also be sources.

A local locksmith can do all of the above for you. I found one that matched up the tumblers and everything. Of course it might have helped that he has a 172 and understands.

Very common lock. I once had a desk key from work that I could also use on '98C.
