I can't afford to get the complete airplane done, but I need to get the "new" baggage door painted. Any recomendations for a paint shop in the CT, MA, NY, VT area?
TIA

Can you remove the door? If it were me and I just wanted to get the door done I would take it to a local auto body shop. If you take them a fairing or inspection plate that is the right color they can make a perfect match, probably for less than an aircraft paint shop. If you want to do it yourself auto body supply houses (look in the yellow pages) can mix you up a quart if they have something to match. Some can even put it in a spray can..... Sounds funky, but I painted the leading edges of my 120 that way as a temporary solution and nobody could tell the difference. 8 years later it still looked great.

Prestige Aircraft in Swanton, VT (

They did '82A and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Great job and real nice folks. Although, it's a long way for you to go for just a baggage door.

When a baggage door is installed, there is uaually some paint work needed on the fusealage around the door opening where the riveting has been done.

The shop in Middlebury VT does nice work. J & M aviation if I remember, or look for Middlebury VT FBO in airport directory.
