Bushing dimensions for "A" model flap pawl bushing

Post by learaviator »

While working on my "A" model, I took the flap mechanism apart in the wing root, and cleaned everything and replaced all of the AN hardware. Upon checking everything, I found the bushing P/N - 0523229, in the pawl (the "hook" that catches the tab to keep the flaps from banging in the wind) worn considerably. I was only able to find one, and that was on I.L.S. Maybe someone knows of another source but if not, here are the dimensions of the new one in case anyone needs it. .246 O.D., .030 wall thickness, .182 I.D. .087 long. It was not magnetic either.
