Control Tee Assy

Post by mongo2 »

In the IPC , figure 26, item 14 , shows a Fafnir KS4 bearing. On my A\C , a 170A, during reassembly I have found a Fafnir KP4 bearing in the same location, which is radial only, not pivoting like the KS4. I am wondering if this was incorrectly replace at one point, or if the KS4 was superseded and my IPC doesnt show the change. Which is the correct bearing? One would think it should be a KS4 as the IPC shows, though the rod end attaches to a AR4-1 at the bellcrank, which is also radial only. Any help greatly appreciated.

It appears that in the 170B IPC, a KP4 is used. The fwd elevator bellcrank I have also looks like a 170B model as well.
Does anyone know what bearings are used in the fwd elevator bellcrank? I cant seem to find them in the B model breakdown.
