Strobe light repair or parts

Post by dunlaps3 »

I have a Strobe light on top of fuselage that , I think , was installed in the 70's sometime . It was working fine for the last 30 years , but now it doesn't flash . I took it out today to see if I could repair it . My question to any of you is : Have you ever seen or heard of " Sky-Strobe by Delta Products , Inc . " ? I've worked on Grimes , Whelen , Aeroflash , Hoskins , but this is a new one on me . The flashtube is unique and has caps all around it , and the power supply looks something like a aeroflash PS. The two are connected with a single co-ax wire with a BNC connector on each end . I don't know if the problem is the power supply or the flashtube. I suspect the flashtube because I hear the PS wind up but the flash never does trigger . I google search for this to no avail , all your collective minds are my last hope before I scrap it . Thanks , Andrew
