axle nut replacement

Post by azmuth1 »

My 170a #19050 has Cleveland wheels and brakes. I'm wanting to install hub caps for the clean line look. The previous owner had destroyed the wheel pants and the longer axle nuts are still on. For space sake, I need shorter axle nuts to fit under the flat style hub caps. Any suggestions where to buy the original style of short axle nuts? I've seen the axle nuts in catalogs for all cessnas that look like big castle nuts...are those the ones I need?

I think winter time is more expensive by thinking of what I think needs to be improved on the plane than flying in warmer weather.

Thanks always for your suggestions.

By the way....SAVE THE NUTS FOR WHEEL PANTS! (You wouldn't believe what they cost these days.)
