Re: Push rod tube rubber boot movement
Thanks, George. Will give this a try. Been looking into the spring loaded seals, but a bit pricey for now.

Re: Ford Alternator oil Leak ?
Great. Thanks for the information. It looks like the seal and O-ring went in the correct way, but the spacer went in backwards. Appears the O-ring should fit it the machined recess on the spacer.

Re: FUEL GAUGE WOES
Could you just replace the floats with these new floats from Aircraft Spruce?

Re: Ford Alternator oil Leak ?
Reviving an old post. Does anyone know which way the spacer (ES4141) and the O-ring (ES4140) goes in? Does the O-ring fit into the groove in the spacer? There is a small recess that looks like the O-ring goes into, but not 100% sure this recess is for the O-ring or the orientation of the spacer.

Re: Air bubble of doom in gascolator!
Is it in fact an "air" bubble? Could it be fuel vapor? It doesn't make sense to me that air could be "sucked' into a fuel system that is pretty much gravity fed. Did something change? Could it be the fuel system is getting some sort of vapor lock from getting too hot at that point in ...

Push rod tube rubber boot movement
Has anyone ever had the rubber boots on the push rod tubes start to slide away from the lifter housing and move up the push rod tube? Found that 3 boots started to do this on our 0300D. All new boots and clamps were installed at TOH.

Re: 0300A Starter Seal
According to the parts book, the starter is # 1109656. If you have this starter, maybe this link will help. Note the last post in the thread.

Re: Oil Leak @ Thru Case Stud
Not sure on the "O" ring placement for the different thru bolts, but the "O" ring that we suspect is leaking is on the thru bolt that goes thru the case and secures the cylinder bases to the case. It's on an 0300D.

Re: Oil Leak @ Thru Case Stud
I know this post is old. It appears we are finding a few more oil leaks. It appears there is an oil leak at the base of #6 cylinder, between the bottom cylinder base stud and the thru bolt at the 4 o'clock position on the cylinder base. It looks like it is either the cylinder base "O" ring...

Re: Tach stud question
Thanks, George. That's what made us remove the tach flange originally, to correct an oil leak there. Hopefully, this will correct the leak.
