camshafts, and or camshaft sets with lifters
anyone put a new cam, and lifters in the 0-300/ C-145 lately ? like to go with new parts if they are available, my superior web site does not show a cam part number, lots of other parts,, no cam...

Fresno Air Parts carries most anything you would need for an C145/O300. They are however very old school so have no website.

There were a few changes in the cams over the years. The early cams had more "pointy" lobes than the later which were more rounded. This gives the later cams a bit more valve overlap and supposedly improved power at/above 2500 RPM. Without disassembly you can usually tell if you have an early or late cam by the way it idles.
Early cam at 600 RPM gives about 10" manifold pressure (near S.L. of course)
Late cam at 600 RPM gives about 15" M.P.

I was able to order a new camshaft from Continental for my 0300A rebuild a couple of years ago. 125 on the engine and going strong. Six new ECI cylinders, lifters, camshaft and other work, helps it run like new.

TCM Teledyne Continentals web site has an interesting feature if you have not been there lately. On the tool bar at the top of their web page is a link called support materials a search of complete engine parts lists are available. All service bulletins are available free no membership. The only thing you can not link to are overhaul manuals. And they do not have C series engines listed. ie C145, C-85 etc. There is also a parts supersedure listing so that if you know a current or later part number it will list the part numbers that that particular part superseded. to a point. Sometimes Superior Air-Parts lists their PMA part number by the superseded part number. As far as I know Superior Air-Parts does not manufacture a cam shaft for O-200-0300 engines

Simply because the designation of the C-145 was changed to 0-300-A Use that data for all C-145 issues.
the C-65-C-90 are no longer supported.
My customer just bought a complete cam kit from Aircraft Specialities in Tulsa OK. he was required to buy each part number in the train. (cam-lifter body-hydraulic unit-cup- and clip ring.) but they had the parts in stock.
