Need Bolt

Post by rupertjl »

I'm looking for one Flap Stop bolt p/n 0523214. I've tried Preferred Airparts and Cessna Parts.com and no one has them. Are they just an long AN bolt that I can find in stock or is it a Cessna part? Anyone have any other parts places? I think there's a post here somewhere that has all those places listed, I'll try to find it.

thanks!

I'm trying to locate a cross reference as well. Does anyone know of any? I don't have any of the original ones to measure...

Judd and RC-
If it's on an A Model, I'll measure mine when I get home on Tuesday.

From the picture above, it would appear to me that there must be four of these bolts per airplane. Your request has you looking for one only. Do you have any others to measure for identification?

Don't think they have these on a "B" model. Don't know about the straight 170.

I needed 3 when reassembling [ rebuilding] my aircraft and couldn't get the part from Cessna or its agent here in OZ but so I measured it and ordered it [ AN bolt] from Spruce. not very expensive at all. they ended up in sending the MS equivalent.
however the bolts that attach the vertical fin to the tail plane [NAS 145-14 and 18] , Cessna wanted nearly $800 dollars for them. This stopped the original owners of the aircraft [it was in a thousand pieces] from starting the rebuild. Some of the hardware required that was needed gave the original owners [a gliding club committee] ticket shock. I found a supplier down in the south of the country that had dozens of -14,s but he requested that I purchase them at 6 per time at the grand cost of $9 per 6. they came with the correct paper work . I gave him $10 bucks and told him he could keep the change. The moral of this story is to shop around . If the correct paper work comes with the hardware and its from a reliable source ,think about using it.

Would you happen to remember what number AN bolts you ordered or MS equivalent they sent you were?

Your 0523214 bolts have been replaced with AN3-16A flap stop bolt. At least that what they were when we removed the old ones. If they are something special, you don't have special. You just have functional
