The 170 News
Another great issue of The 170 News. Thanks to all who work on it. A special shout out to Bruce Fenstermacher for the excellent article on the Scott 3200 Tail Wheel. I'm prepairing to to install new leaf springs and hardware so the article was perfect timing.

I met Kyle Fosso two weeks ago when I landed at Anacortes. What an inspiration! To buy a sunken 170 at the age of 15, get your A&P, and do a total rebuild from the ground up. He even has a new fuel injected Lyc hanging on it. He's doing a great restoration job on it.swixtt wrote:i will be reading that one tonight. i did read the fly/bike TR that Jughead wrote. i've ridden that hill:) sure would like to visit with the 170 next time

Yes really.swixtt wrote:reading the Scott article, 35lbs in the tire? really?
Do you think it to high or to low? The tire under heavier load can handle higher than 35 lbs.

Close but no cigar. It's 35lbs.Aryana wrote:I believe the standard pressure is 24 psi for the Mains, and 34 psi for the 3200 Scott tailwheel placarded on the inside of the glovebox of my '55.
